Maia Bielak serves the Ojai Valley and beyond as a master level integrative healing coach, massage therapist and bodyworker with expertise in somatic awareness and experiencing.

She brings to Ojai her extensive knowledge and experience with healing and wellness based leadership including her background in the following:

  • Owner and operator of a therapeutic wellness practice, serving as a consultant and leader to community organizations and business leaders on subjects of wellness, sustainability, organic friendly design and eco-friendly materials

  • Supervision and training of 90 healing arts practitioners and support staff at the world-renowned Kripalu Center for Yoga and health

  • Direction and management of a yoga and Peruvian cosmology healing practices program

  • Numerous privately sponsored and community-based projects from large-scale art installations to children’s art and wellness education programs.

Maia applies an interdisciplinary approach to her wellness practices as well as her work as an artist, seeing them as inseparable from community, ecology and social justice.  She finds guidance and inspiration from her studies and practices in neuroscience, somatic therapies and systems-focused healing. Maia attended Ohio University earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  She holds certificates of advanced learning in Somatic Experiencing and Interpersonal Neurobiology, is a certified yoga teacher and a licensed clinical massage therapist.  She gratefully resides on the lands of the Chumash in Ojai, CA where she honors the legacy of the indigenous people in her art, healing work and community service all centered on human experience in the natural world as well as the natural human experience.
